Contribution of phlebology in the diagnosis and treatment of varicocele: discussion of an original approach

Summary :
Varicocele is described as venous insufficiency of the spermatic veins. The symptomatology is that of venous insufficiency with heaviness, heaviness and difficulty in supporting a sitting position. Pain is sometimes described. It may be associated with reproductive problems. Although it is a case of venous insufficiency, the phlebologist is rarely involved in its diagnosis and treatment. Yet this is a condition that should benefit from the experience of this specialty. Working in association with a urology practice, we will share our experience of this condition by describing the case of a young man presenting with a symptomatic varicocele, followed by a review of the literature and an attempt to propose a place for phlebology in the diagnosis and treatment of this condition.
